I am rebuilding a Dana 44 rear end and I just pulled the axles out and it looks like the bearing race might have spun inside the axle tube housing. I was wondering if anyone knows what the inside diameter of the tube is supposed to be or has any experience rebuilding these types of axles. I also and not quite sure how the bearings come off, it seems like you would just slide them off the axle shaft, but I'm not sure what type of puller I need or other tool. The Dana 60's I have rebuilt in the past I have bought complete new axles for and the bearings already came on the axle, this will be the first time I have actually changed the bearings. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
