cam brakes etc

Well the oil should take the heat. i was given some though by the comany to try in about 84. gained nothing not even 1000th of an sec. funny you mention noise. I dont run mobil1 in our Pt cruisers because the engines are too noisy with it. although i do use it in the v10 truck. I like Earl advice , if it workin just stand on it and enjoy.
I use matalic linings (taxi /police ) I think Kantersells them too. I have no trouble stopping and i do drive very hard every chance i get. So far i havent even a had a tweek of thought to install discs. Now for all you guys who love discs , dont say nothing. If you like them or feel you have to have them fine. i just choose not to and the car stops fine even from 100 plus MPH without fade . I used to race a 63 and a 69 dart. both had a 426 reworked street hemi and both had drum brakes with police /taxi metalic linings and i got to know I could count on them . No it wont skid the wheels but you can bounce the wife of the dash at will and i dont want any more than that for brakes at this time.
One really common problem on these cars is a worn steering coupler and occasionally after a repair a misassembled one. the two copper shoes go inthe way that DOESNT look right. That is how i remember it.
I have fixed numerous mopar , vintage , vans 1/2 tons etc for customers when this is all that was wrong . parts are still available from Momma Mopar for 1980s series truck. Sorgenson has a real good coupler eliminater for 1/2 ton mopars that is a permanent cure
