Rich, I know the feeling!
I'd hoped to get our 63 maxie over to a Run-What-ya-Brung last weekend, as a
few from our club were going, but my brother (who keeps the car in his
garage as I dont have one) was up to his neck in family stuff, so opted to
give it a miss rather than let him miss out on the car's 1st trip up the
1/4.
As it turns out, the RWYB didnt start till after midday cos of damp
conditions, and thanks to all the chavs in hot-hatches (translation:
import-driving youths) clogging up the staging lanes and dropping oil &
water all over the track, our guys only got a couple of runs in.
And... after our last couple of trips out in the freshly-rebuilt Polara, we
think it'll be worth getting the prop re-balanced in an attempt to eliminate
some of the vibration we get thru the car over 2500rpm. It was only balanced
in September but we suspect it may not have been done right as the company
that did it, also balanced our 69 Sport Satellite's prop and we get bad
vibration in that too at similar speeds.
So probably a good idea to wait till next spring, give us a bit more time to
iron out a few bugs. Havent even tried the line loc or tried shifting
manually thru the push-buttons yet!!

Sorry guys. I don't have any numbers to produce yet. I had to work late
and then it started raining to boot. I doubt if they were able to run.
Next week is the last hooray for the season so if I don't get 'er done
then it'll have to wait till spring.
