Unless you modify your car's wiring, you're gonna literally fry the wires. Plus, it will likely incinerate your amp gauge. Sean Yea, I've run a heavy gauge wire that goes from the alternator to the starter relay to take the load off of the firewall connector, factory wiring, and amp meter. Of course, the amp gauge doesn't read correctly now, and it doesn't totally remove the potential for smoking the wiring if something shorts out, but I'm OK with it for now.
