Correct, you will need new u-bolts and u joint keeper. Hopefully the keepers should come with the new rearend.

Lighter than the Dana, but able to take as much punishment as you will likely ever throw at it with a small block. Butbeware, it is not QUITE the "bolt in" many claim it to be. You have to shortenyour drive shaft, and the shock, and none of the axle mounting hardware(U-bolts, etc. interchange) Since you have the old ball and trunion trans, you willlikely want to upgrade that too, the results being a drive shaft that is almost completely fabricated, so choose your drive shaft shop well.
