Sean, I don't believe there's any difference in the jetting between the 
2 carbs. Here's quote from the carb section of the super six article on 
the slant six forum:

"There are no significant internal differences between the 318 and slant 
six carbs and the only external differences are the throttle blades and 
the choke linkage eyelet position."

It looks like you'll have to modify the choke linkage however. Here's

Btw I'm not sure what year 318 you have but I have a Carter BBD here 
from a 65. It's the old style carb that uses the clamp on air cleaner. I 
may have the air cleaner too, I don't remember. Actually I wouldn't mind 
picking up a spare super six carb for my 78 Dodge pickup.
