Hey cool! so I measured around a BHJ dampener I got for my Poly stoker I'm building using some tape. and it measures 21", so divided by 10 = 2.1". so if the 2.1" mark is 36 degrees, and I'm understanding this correctly,
Don's 2.21" is probably at 32/34 degrees. right? I like this kinda stuff thanks guys. Schuyler 62 Dodge Dart 440 wagon w/ Poly 318 <http://www.1962to1965mopar.ornocar.org/ml-wrobel62.html>FYI - I Do the Decal designs for the Poly head 318 and more! email me with your needs -

It will give you a reference point to work from with a non advance timing light. You set it to that mark at 3000 RPM. Probably should not run the vaccum advance with a hot cam. "DonA TRICK MY DAD TOLD ME ABOUT YEARS AGO, IS TO TAKE A TAPE AND MEASURE AROUND THE DAMPER AND DIVIDE THAT LENGTH BY 10.Sorry caps lock....should learn to type by not having to look at the keyboard...Then measure both ways from the timing mark and make a center punch mark. The mark will me at 36 degrees...if you do it both ways your are covered no matter the rotation of the engine.rob in phx
