Proper timing

I am wondering what I should shoot for as far as max advance and intial timing. The engine is not stock so I gotta imagine the stock specs are worthless. Right now I'm about 12-13deg btdc but not sure what rpms. No tach hooked up yet.

I had a problem when I got on it the last time, it rattled badly so I slacked off. It sounded like too much advance. I also don't have extended marks on my damper so unless I get a new advance timing light I can't tell my true advance number.

FYI my cam is 224deg @ .050 and my compression is supposed to be about 9.5:1

I have a new Mopar electronic ignition, TTI's and dual quads (500 Eddy's)

Whaddya think?
