To be very specific, the NAPA cable number we have listed, and the Imperial Services cable for this application, have the early style end for the speedo head which will work on your '65 speedo, and the late style end at the transmission end. If you want a stock looking cable, buy the Imperial Services. If you don't care about that you can get the NAPA cable, although they'll probably have to order it anyway, but I believe it is somewhat cheaper. Also, the NAPA cable is a bit shorter than original for my early B body max wedge car, so I'm not sure it would work in a C, depends on exactly where the trans is in relation to the firewall, and the dash too for that matter. It fits my '64 Dart convertible with some left over showing in the engine compartment (with a '75 A904 trans). The reason I have the NAPA cable in my original max wedge car is because I am running a late '60's style A833 instead of the original T85 3 speed, and when I bought the cable, either the Imperial Services cable wasn't yet available, or I didn't know about it, not sure which. One of these days I'll probably replace it with the Imperial Services for the stock look.
There may very well be other NAPA or other brand numbers that would fit a C or an A better. When I bought the first one, I simply asked for a cable for a '66 Belvedere, knowing that '66 and '67 cars came from the factory with the early speedo head, but the later trans hookup.
