It has a groove in it that a hard plastic strip on the boot locks into. BTW I have a 67 Satellite convertible as well that may use the same system. That might increase the number of possible sources. Lemme look at it again today. And let me look thru old emails on parts cars I have asked people about in the past. I, like you, need just a few parts to start enjoying my car. The cables that locate the main top bow are holding me back from getting the top replaced. I think Iwill take the cables with me on Thanksgiving and talk to me stepdad. He was an engineer and has a great mind when it comes to fabricating parts. I believe the 62 is the same part. It may be chrome, stainless or alum. ...since it's not there on mine I can't tell you. I got excited but no joy at Desert Valley...the pictures on the web site are "over a year old" according to those that run the place...bummer! Anybody know of a Fury convertible parts car (62-63) PLEASE let me know! Bob Fortson __________________________________ Yahoo!
