that makes sense, i got it off a 65 361 B-body w/ AC, I mounted it up
and clearly won't line up with any water pump pulleys that I have, it
must line up with the crank pulley and the AC compressor only.

I found some pictures of the cast iron bracket in use on some early
60's fullsize cars. On a 60 D500 pictured on Mueller's "Chrysler
Muscle Cars", it appears the bracket is used on a non-AC, PS car.
It must have a unique water pump pulley used on those early engines.

I have a non-AC set of brackets but they are late 60's vintage, and
I'm using the early MP aluminum water pump which has a different
bracket mount point on the water pump housing (under the thermostat)
than the later 60's housings (at least thats how I figure these
brackets not lining up).

I've got a 1970 set of brackets off an AC car (with the lower bracket that
legs back to the mount) and I'm going to see if that'll line up the
alternator with any of the pulley pairs I have...

I don't have PS or AC, so its just the alternator I need to spin.
I ran out of budget, so I'm trying to make what I got work, but I
certainly can't be tossing belts so its gotta be right.

thanks for your help.
