Starting concern, new 495 wedge, 11.2:1. All parts & 800 cca battery new.
Got the hi-torque ministarter. When starting, turns over a very short amount,
then stops turning entirely for a split second, then rotates again & starts
up.

Yesterday, on a "cool" California morning (but still 65 f), it wouldn't
rotate at all, no sounds like solenoid click, etc. Came back later after helping a
buddy pull and engine/tranny out of a Spirit RT, it's now 80-some degrees, it
immediately started, with no hesitation.

Ammeter shows charging when driving, put battery tender/trickle charger on,
came up with fully charged green led within a 2 minutes.

Is this typical of a tight, somewhat hi-compression motor? Cylinder
pressures are high on this build.....need 2 batteries? Thanks in advance for any
help.
