My 15 year old is getting the itch for wheels, and we are starting to talk about the "first car." My thoughts are, to keep the 10w30 running in the family bloodline, that I would find an older Dakota for him ... and drop a 360 in it so we can horse around with the performance. (Seems to me you can find one of these for cheap, cheap, cheap.) Any thoughts on this? Do I need to find a factory V8 Dakota, or will it be relatively simple to convert an original V6. I am guessing that a factory 4 cylinder would be a bad choice, given the lighter suspension, brakes, etc. You might want to reply offline, given this is an off topic inquiry ...
