Being the owner of a 67 Dart with a HI PO 273, the
one thing that sets it apart from every other LA is
the HI PO valve covers. They, believe it or not, are
almost as big a draw as a Xram. People will walk
by my car, stop, and say Oh it's a HI PO 273 - Kewl.
Of course the four barrel has something to do with
it, but if you put the correct valve covers on it, people
notice. I have even changed them out with some Cal
Customs I have, everyone just walks by the car and
never notices the motor. Strange but true.

1) yes, its solid, but a smaller lift
2) cast iron adjustible
3) Yes

Not sure if a LeSalle tranny will bolt up. If your going old school, I would
find a poly 318 to use. It would fit the bill better. Don't get me wrong, I
think the 273 is a great engine, but it looks just like every other LA small
block.
