The "Rear Axle Guide" website (http://www.autohobbydigest.com/8_75.html) says 55-5/8" (est), and I am wondering if anyone has real data. My car was originally a poly car with a 741 case 8 3/4. I could wrestle with my brake drums and measure it myself, but the assembly is just going to the junkyard, so if I can avoid some work, I will, given the heat this weekend! What I am trying to determine is if an A-body setup would bolt-in, given that it has a 57 1/2" flange-to-flange measurement, and what impact would that have on the wheelwell, tire clearance, etc. Thanks in advance for anything you are willing to share.
