All,
What are HD specs for a 904?  Did they use more clutches or something?
How do you know you are getting a HD 904 if you are looking around the
junk yard?

The trick setup (in my opinion) is to build the 904 to HD specs with a
low 
gear set (very inexpensive for the 904 low gear set).  I have been
running a 
"built" 904 behind my 340 for over ten years with excellent performance
and 
reliability.
We have an excellent Mopar trans builder here.
