Hi Don,
Just out of curiosity did the engine have hardened valve seats, and if
not was there any sign of receding seats?
Thanks,
Ken

Subject: $00 cheapie update.

While getting ready for this season Wager decided to have a look inside
te 400 cheapie. He pulled heads and pan and we had a good look. We are
very pleased with what we found.
Depite two years of hard rracing we found nothing wrong . We decided to
try aset of NOS steel head gaskets in place of the felpro (.019" vrs
.043")and buttoned it back up as was. For a cheap (and it was very
cheap.) hyd cammed 11 second motor I am very pleased with the results.
He is going to try the 1.6 rocker thing as well. We shall see what
happens.
This would be a great sleeper motor for a RR or 62 to 65 383 car. No one
would suspect it and it is streetable.
