Turn the engine over exactly one more revolution to TDC then put the distributor back to number one. Remember that the cam turns at half the speed as the crank. You can also watch the number 1 cylinder valves to make sure you are at TDC. The piston comes up two times and only one is TDC for each cam revolution. Guys, correct me here if I am wrong as I don't have my book in front of me. Crank it over (by hand) until the exhaust valve opens, then closes. The next time 0 degrees on the crank come up is TDC.
