another header alternative, is the doug thorley
chrome header for 325,
i believe the hedman elites are the coated hedmans,
for under 300, 
the doug thorleys are heavy and fit without problems

Jeff, That's a great price on headers. Do you have the part number for the dynomax headers? Would the clearance problem be solved with manual steering.

I just installed a set of ceramic Dynomax headers last week, $288 from 
Jegs. My motor mounts are a little sacked out, so I had clearance 
problems with mine. I had to "clearance" the tube on the driver's side 
that was hitting the steering column coupler nut, even though I cut the 
bolt off. A new set of motor mounts wouldn't have helped in this area. 
One good thing is they sit up tight under the car. Driver's side was an 
inch shorter than the set I removed, so I had to pull my H-pipe apart 
and forward to reach. Also, they just clear the z-bar. Yea, yea, I 
know..."That's hotroddin'!"
