These things do plug up sometimes, and blow-by starts to push oil out everywhere! I have seen oil in air cleaners before, from the blow-by backtracking up the fresh air supply tube. The fittings at the carb or manifold ports get carbon clogged and it doesn't always effect performance enough to notice. Check for a good vacuum at the PCV valve when running.
