Rich Kinsley Long ago I didn't have a timing light and I took my 4 speed 383 '64 Dodge 330 post too a BIG hill. I took off up the hill and kinda lugged it in high gear. I listened for it to complain,(ping), and if it did I kept moving the dist till I could just barely keep it from pinging. Seemed to work pretty well.
Regarding appearance; If my hood is up it's gonna be kinda noticeable that I don't have a stock set-up(2x4's) so the more stuf the better on the firewall, etc.. I'm gonna remove the under hood insulation, I hate it, and paint it nice and display all the decals I can find, that pertain, under there. Stealth is only for when the hood is down.
