Click here to find out how. caadlVCb7fOBRa/Consumer Research ------------------------------------------------------------------- Well there never was a more reliable alternator than the old mopar ones, only problem they ever have is the brushes wear after many many miles and they can be changed on them from outside, I have even done a few in the car without removing the alternator, I could count on 1/2 of 1 hand the number of mopar alternators I have seen with anything else wrong. Single wire fields (my favourite) or the double wire fields (Whch are internaly the same anyway, just one has a grounded brush and one sends the ground back to the regulator .) I have been a mech since 1966 so i have seen a few. As for the hidden box , you wont find my Mopar control box anywhere and it uses the stock ballast resistor (1963 Dodge) looking totally stock. However I also realieze it is your car and if you want to sprinkle it with rice and bowties that is your bussiness.
