   Talking of heads, in this book by David vizard i am reading he talks
   about how iron heads actually make more power because of the thermal
   efficiency, that is aluminum heads conduct heat better than iron, so
   they suck heat from the combustion chamber instead of leaving it on
   top of the piston and in the combustion chamber where it belongs .
   Just like  thermal coatings, they  help keep heat in the chamber ,
   and an iron head will too.  
   Now that would of course  be identically shaped and valved heads,
   iron vs. aluminum.
   I never would of thought of that- pretty smart for a Chevy guy!
