A few years ago I bought a 455 Buick short block from
PAW. It was supposed to be ready to assemble & run.
We removed the screw in plugs from the oil galleys
which they had loctited in place just as a precaution.
We found a ton of metal shavings! We scrubbed the
block & blew out all the passages. If we didn't double
check everything that engine wouldn't have lasted 5
minutes. The machine work was also subpar. Just be
careful.
