what is loud to one may be quiet to another, but i have dynomax
turbo's (the oval ones), with a tti x-pipe, this combination breathes
like open headers with a fraction of the noise.

i have raced with the exhaust on and open headers, one hundreth
difference, it went .01 quicker 60 foot, .01 slower et, so no difference.
the only reason to take the exhaust off is so i can
hear my car run.

to me the car is very quiet., i have a 57 chevy with a stock smallblock
that has purple hornies, it is twice as loud as my satellite.

as for performance sound, any poly or big block sounds good,
irregardless of the muffler, maybe its just the way they breath.

ps lets be clear on those headers, tti is by far the best fit and
performance exhaust for these things, but that is only
      if you can afford them!
but when i talked to tti, the guy there, told me some people
have told him they had problems with install, mine slipped
      right in.

Does the hemi muffler make a performance sound?

I'm looking for a pair of mufflers to run on my 1964 Plymouth, that
aren't too loud, but aren't restrictive, either.

Am I asking for a miracle, do you think?

thanks,

sean
