Re: Temperature gauge or sender

Paul,
That is usually the problem but if you need a NOS sending unit, I may have a spare.

Hey Paul,

the temp gauge on my 62 Dart Poly wagon stops working
from time to time, and I just clean the contacts on the wire
and sending unit and that brings it back, so far any way.
sometimes just wiggling the wire on the sending unit is
enough? It's a simple test, maybe you have already tried
this, hope this helps .

Hey, All.
The temp gauge on my 62 Dart poly doesn't work. What tests do I perform to
tell if it's a bad gauge or a bad sending unit (heat sensor)? And if I test the
sending unit with a multi-meter, what values should a good unit be puting out
when cold and when hot.
Thanks for any help.
Paul
