I mounted mine on a couple of pressure treated 2x6 with carriage bolts thru
the 2x6 and thru the compressor mounting brackets with wide washers and lock
nuts. . The 2x6's are laid flat for a wide stable area on the floor and it
does not move around at all and they take care of all the vibration and I
have had mine mounted this way for 5 years with no problems and I use mine
compressor a lot as I have a lot of different air tools.
I do wood work also. I also did not want to drill my floor

 If I bracket and strap my big 220 air compressor to the studs in the
 wall do u guys think that will be enough, or will it still bounce up
 and down on the concrete garage floor.If it bounced it could also
 eventually compromise the welds in the compressor;
   BUT!!!!!-
    I really want to avoid drillling holes in the floor.
