A B motor to a B Body hood is right at 12", a little less if there is a hood
brace over the carb. I measured from the valley pan, just in front of the
intake manifold, with a straightedge across the fenders. That dimension may
be the same for an RB. The cylinders are taller as well as the width, but the
valley pan to hood should be the same. Joe
