Fellers,

I'm getting into a bit of a dilemma here.

Long story short - I'm active duty military, transferring from Kodiak,
Alaska to somewhere in the lower-48 this coming May/June. I've got a
64 Polara 500 that doesn't run, so I can't ship it.

I've got someone interested in the car, but don't think they'll buy it
for anywhere near as much $$$ as I have parts (brand new parts) for it.

What I'm thinking is this - basically stripping the car of anything
useful and worth $$$, and bringing it down to the lower-48 with us.
Things like the hood, all the trim, the front fenders, grille, lights,
maybe even the bumpers.

Do you think it's worth it for me to part it out as much as I can and
try to sell the parts in the lower-48, or should I just bite the bullet
and take a big hit on the $$$ side?

Keep in mind - the cowl and firewall are pretty well shot (rusted
through), so it's not really a keeper anyhow, more of a parts car...

I look forward to hearing your advice and suggestions!

Thanks.
Andy
Kodiak, Alaska

Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. I.e., send parts/car transactions and negotiations as well as other personal messages only to the intended recipient, not to the Clubhouse public address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
