Maybe it's been mentioned , that a good ground is important for the ECUs to work right,
check the mounting surface, or run a ground wire.

Kevin,
I've had to replace 2 of the newer style (orange) boxes and 2 of the new
style electronic distributors. One of each part in 2 different cars,
and the parts each failed at different times. The problem with the
modules was an erratic miss as I was driving around town. With both
distributors, it was a miss that occurred in the 2200 - 2500 range,
where I normally run on the highway. The only way I verified the source
of the problem was by installing spare parts that I knew were
good...Brian

Hi,
I have a problem with the electronic ignition module for my 64 Dodge.
It is a Mopar module fro the 70's and it seems to be intermittent. Is
there a way of testing to see if the module is defective other than just
swapping out a known good one?
