There's not much legend to it, but if you use the '66-up straight down mount
(before the one with the round isolator), you can modify the automatic
crossmember  so that everything lines up.

 Cam, I am planning to put a 4-speed in one of my cars as well.I guess
it's just urban legend,but rumor has it that an auto tranny cross member
can be turned around backwards,so the mount is in the rear instead of
the front,and altered from that point if need be.A new hole would have
to drilled for the e-brake cable,but that shouldn't be a biggie.I was
hoping this works but haven't yet field tested it or mocked up a
corrective solution.I know it can't be that simple.

If you try it,let me know what probs you run into,and if this is
feasable.
