Bill,
What is your tire height and do you have a low gear set in your 727?
Engine torque increases the stall speed up to the advertised convertor stall.
With 4.10 gears and a 28" tall tire in 1 to 1 drive ratio you should turn approx. 50mph at 2500rpm and a 30" tall tire will turn approx. 54mph at 2500rpm.

What rpm does it take to start moving from a complete stop?

Anyone else running the 9 1/2 inch Dynamic converter?
It seems like this thing is really slippery I have in my Sport Fury. In
first gear the RPM is really up there and at 45 MPH I'm turning around 2500 RPM.
Maybe it's the 4:10 gear that is making it sound like you're doing 50 in first
gear or there's something wrong with the converter.
I think Don D. up there in Canada is running one. I believe he said at
crusing speed it acts just like a stock converter. Mine doesn't seem to act like
that.
I've noticed to, that the shifts between gears with the 727 is really close.
Don't lose much RPM at all. Not sure if this is normal or not.
Any input from you guys? Would more cubes make it act like that?
