Everyone just looks at me and says, "Really". For sure there is something wrong, but I don't know what. Please do me a favor, let us know when you find it. I want to know please. Earl - Thanks Tom. It reminds me of the old Model T vibrating ignition. Maybe I should wire it to a flame thrower exhaust? :-) Regards, Ken > > How about it? Does anyone know if this is normal or it there is > something wrong with the ignition? Thanks, > Ken This is not normal. The reluctor on the distributor shaft is what tells the pickup when to signal the ECU to fire. It should not be firing on it's own. I have seen spark before, by just turning the key on, but not continuous firing. Buy a cheap ECU to prove the old one is whacked.
