Bill and Brian...thanks for the reply. My friend says there is no "hex" on
the nipple...just looks like a threaded piece of pipe coming out of the
block where the filter spins on. My suggestion to him was to thread 2 nuts
onto the nipple,jam them together, then use a box-end wrench (or socket)to
unscrew them and the nipple to gether. Does this sound right?
