Very relaxing with Mopar big block power. Quite a combo! :-) Check out http://www.1962to1965mopar.ornocar.com/restore2003.html for some vendor suggestions. As an aside, I just realized that I've been piecing that list together for, yikes, over 8 years! (Feeling much older now.) :-) When I first started compiling the list there were hardly ANY vendors who carried '62 to '65 stuff. So it has gotten better. My 2c are a lot like others have noted: Lead additive. Use if you want, but unless you drive hard and long at high RPM's it's not critical. Over the years the valve seal area have been coated with lead from the old formula real gas. Put in some topoil like Marvel if you wish; it won't hurt. Brakes. Make sure what you have matches the Chrysler design. Replace all the brake lines & hoses with new, wheel cylinders too, or rebuild the cylinders correctly. Keep the drums and switch to a dual master cylinder with drum if you'd feel better with it. The single reservoir units work fine IF the rest of the system is up to par. Electrical: buy a Factory Service Manual Other: Join in the gab 'round here and have some fun with your Newport! :-) Regards, Gary H. Rachel wrote: > Hi everyone!
