I recently purchaced a camshaft from J.E.G.S. It is a MOPAR 'Purple Shaft' cam.
It's specs are 268/272 dur. 450/455 lift, and 110 lobe center. The 'split duration'
cams are known for bottom-end torque. Does anyone have a cam close to those
specs?? How does it perform?? And I have a Duel-4 intake, what carbs should I use??
Gary, I remember you said 2 Edelbrock 500's,... Do you think two 380--400's woud
perform better??? I'm not doing anything to the heads but cleaning them up.
It's getting flat-top pistons, (Moly or cast rings???) and the original polished steel
crank. Let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Kyle
