I have two 727's, one of which will be rebuilt and installed behind my
451.
Trans 1 is a 1978 cop car (400) with 900-3 on the bellhousing and 2466900
on
the left side. Trans 2 I think came out of a late 60's New Yorker with
261-2
on the bellhousing and 2801261-2 on the left side. Both appear to be
exactly
the same, with spline count, length, linkage and cooler lines in the same
locations. Both look to be in great shape, however they haven't been taken
apart.
Any 727 guru's know which one is the better trans for the rebuild? Can
someone ID trans 2? Thanks in advance. Joe
