Hey Sean,
I think this is a fairly common problem with our old 2 door hard tops. I
have (2) '65 C-body Dodges. One has problems with this and the others are
stuck shut like yours. I think it's just corrosion. Whatever you do, don't
try to force them open as I think that's why one of my cars has problems.
I would take out the rear seat and remove the side panels, armrests, etc and
take a look. Just squirt a little WD-40 on the mechanism and let it sit
overnight. If that doesn't free them up, you'll probably need to completely
remove the rear windows to give the mechanisms a good cleaning (hopefully
not, because that isn't the most fun way to spend a Saturday I can think
of). In my opinion, there aren't a whole lot of pieces that tend to "break"
in this area -they just get dirty and corroded and should clean up fine for
perfect use.
Hope this helps,

1964 Fury, 2-door hardtop. My back windows are stuck like someone
welded them shut. They are just hand crank windows, no power. Does
anyone have advice on how to go about fixing these? I adore my old
Plymouth, and want these things to work like new.

Thanks!

Sean Bolter
