Here is the recipe.
Remove choke linkage and cut choke housing off leaving the vent tube and its boss standing. File flat. Remove any obvious burrs from Venturi nozzles , Venturis and casting of the main body. Grind the protruding threads of the lower side of the throttle shafts flush with the shaft.
File with a large flat file, bottom and metering block mounting surfaces of the main body casting. Remove high spots so a reasonable seal with the gasket is possible. Clean everything . Take the throttle plate assembly and drill a hole in the centre of each Primary throttle plates .080" to .090" (whatever you have handy)
Deburr the holes and clean. Assemble the carb with 4.5 power valves front and rear, 84 jets front and rear and the stock 31 shooters front and rear. Adjust pump travel for proper clearance at full opening. (Should be some as if not diaphram will rupture)
Set float levels, adjust idle and enjoy. response it fast and sure. ( watch the plugs for a day or so. if they are too black step back to 83 jets. )
Car accelerates so quick i hardly get to use the throttle . Just pull out on the high way squeeze lightly and you are doing 50-55 mph just like that.
Full throttle 6000 rpm shifts feel dangerous. It is twisting pretty hard.
