Year One claims it's for LA motors but will work in a poly.
144 bucks is a bit of a gamble (FD1295) but I don't want to bend my pipes
when they get here in 2-4 weeks. I just ordered duals in steel from Kepich,
2 1/2" to stock mufflers and 2" tail pipes, no H pipe.

In my case (64 Plymouth Belvedere 318 Poly) the shorter filter worked. A 90
degree adapter will be better. Makes for less messy oil changes. Found a
couple on eBay recently. Also they are carried by Year One.

Hi,

I have dual exhaist on my 64 440 with a Poly engine and noticed that the
passenger side exhaust pipe has a horrible series of bends in it to get
around the oil filter.

Will an oil filter adapter like the 64 273 engine uses work in a 64 B
body Dodge? Were the adapters used on anything else?

I figure that that will get the filter horizontal and pointing towards
the back of the car and away from the exhaust system. Is this a true
statement or is there some other problem that I will encounter?

Will running short filters negate the concern of the exhaust pipe?

Please advise.
