I have power on my car and love it. I have a 440 in my 65 coronet and it fits fine. nothing like steering with one finger. Ever tried to parrallel park a B-body without power steering. I must say mopar power steering is a little over kill and very powerful. you can acyually see the K-frame flex under full steer. I love power steering and auotmatics... not the best setup for racing as it weighs alot but very nice for the street and regular use.

Hi Tom,

I have done this on a 70 E Body. Would I do this
again, probably not. You get no road feel on the
power steering boxes. I would check into a fast ratio
manual box if you still want road feel.

As for the power conversion for my E Body (which I'm
sure is similar for an early B body). You will need
the following:
1. PS box (lots of new aftermarket stuff available,
I think some of it will fit early B's)
2. PS lines
3. PS pump
4. PS brackets (always the hardest thing for me to
find if you want original)
5. clearance issues (are you running a stock
driveline? Are you wanting a bigger or different
engine at some point?) Know where your going on the
building of your car.
