Ha Ha Ha Yeah tell me about it. Ive never seen a forged crank 400
either. Your right anything is possible with Ma Mopar. I just spoke with a
gentleman this past weekend who worked at the engine plant for Chrysler for 35
years, (he claims). He told me that motors would come down the line and if
something would be wrong with it they would tag it and send it to the storage area
to be fixed. He said that a few times they would get laid off for months and
months and when they would be called back they would be going like crazy trying
to catch up. The motors that were set aside to be reworked were put on the
back burner and sometimes it would be a year before they could get to them. He
did say that most of them went for dealer replacements but he did know a few of
them that were put right back on the line after they were fixed. They would
have the wrong casting numbers on them but the correct VIN would be stamped for
the car. LOL Probably happened at all the car companies back then.
