318 removal from 64 Polara 500

OK I'm just about to yank the 318 from the Polara.  Last things connected (other than bellhousing) are the exhaust manifolds.  The question for today - is it easier to disconnect the manifolds from the engine or disconnect the exhaust from the manifold connection?
