I have a truck version waiting for my '65. The only issues you may have are bearing retainer to bellhousing clearance (easily corrected with a lathe or with another bearing retainer), and driveshaft length (also easily corrected). I don't know about the one you have, but the truck version already has a steep first gear and a still somewhat steep second gear, so look into your ratios before choosing a rear end.
