The SS springs I bought for my 63 Dodge last year bolted right in with no mods at all. It is my understanding that they were initially produced for max wedge cars. Mine were a little short laying on the floor. They stretch when the weight of the car comes down on them. Why not try bolting them in and see how the shackles hang when the weight of the car is on them. ---mike 63 330 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brent Stewart" <prebee65@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, March 18, 2004 3:13 PM Subject: RE: SS Springs - Length you have to use the extended mounts as the ss springs are realy A-body SS springs in that they are the A-body segment lengths. >From: Akron Don <dgallimore@xxxxxxxxxx> >Reply-To: 1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxx >To: 1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxx >Subject: SS Springs - Length >Date: Thu, 18 Mar 2004 15:51:09 -0500 > >It appears that the SS springs front length is 20" - that's from the eye of >the spring to the pin that holds the springs together at the perch.
