Hey Guys,
I put some Coke into the cylinders & let them set overnight. With an almost 4ft cheater pipe & it still didn’t budge. I guess I’ll try transmission fluid. I’m not getting any oil up into the engine by using the oil priming tool & drill. I’m using an electric drill.
If I put the drive shaft back in, put the trans in D &/or R & try moving it that way, would that provide more torque to rotate the engine? I think the engine will have to be rebuilt at this point anyway. So I think pulling the pan off & checking it out from the bottom may be a waste of time.
I’m not going get into another engine rebuild. I think this 65 383 Monaco is worth restoring, but I don’t have the funds & time. I have two other cars to work on as it is.
What’s Y’All advice from here?
I thank everyone for Your support!
Jerry

That helps prevent freeze ups!
Rich, as a Coke drinker, I never thought about it.... I figured the Black Velvet I cut it with was keeping me so well preserved....

Have you ever heard of a coke drinker getting rusty :-)
Really?? Coke freed up a seized engine? Wow!! Why do humans drink stuff that can do things like fight rust, free up seized engines and will clean a toilet bowl like nobody's business. And that's just a few of the many uses of coke.
Jerry, someone told me many years ago that fresh Coke pored in to cylinders would do the trick. I thought it was a joke. I was wrong. I pulled a 428 Ford from a Tbird to replace a blown cobra jet. It was locked up tight. Blaster, marvel mystery oil and a few other things wouldn't budge it. I thought what have I got to loose. I used air to blow everything I could out of the cylinder and filled them with Coke. The next morning I put a breaker bar on it and jumped on it. It broke a loose so easy that I got over balanced and fell off the trailer. I've never forgotten that and have used it many times since. I've even pored it in valve pockets to break stuck valves loose. Hope this helps.
Awesome Mike!
Mine went the other direction, fact no direction. Mine is locked up. I don’t think it has ran since the early 70s. It barley had 23k when it was parked. I put Mystery Oil into the cylinders almost 2 months ago. . Put oil across the heads/valves. I put a breaker bar on it last weekend & it won’t budge. Do Y’All got any ideas?
Thanks Guys!
Jerry

Subject: Engine for my 65 is done!
I just had to tell someone that I just received the dyno sheets for the engine I had built for my 65 Belvedere! Muscle Motors built me a all aluminum Indy 540 for my cruiser project that makes 765 HP and 753 TQ. I think my tire dealer will have my VISA card number memorized!
