These conversion kits use popular, Not necessarily correct, calipers that may not have the bleeder at the correct or optimum angle for your application. The caliper might have the bleeder mounted high But, the angle they crammed it in to make everything work is still leaving air in the system. Your best bet is to remove the caliper and use a piece of wood or anything to represent your rotor and hold the caliper, with the bleeder straight up by hand and then re-bleed it. Just bought a project car for $1000.00 from a frustrated guy that had a large amount of money into it, just to get it out of his garage because he could not get anything but mushy brakes for years. He said he had probably bleed a couple of gallons of fluid through it over the years. He also bought two kinds of power bleeders with no sucess. I got it home, bleed all four calipers this way, Bingo Great pedal! And yes it was air in the calipers because the kit had them mounted at a different angle than the engineers had intended them to be. Just sayin.

Manual brakes or power? They gave me the 15/16” in the kit for manual – way too spongy for manual brakes. Ended up with 1 1/32” but you can find them all the way up to 1 1/8” in a stock type cast iron mc.
Are your calipers swapped side to side maybe? The bleeder should be on the high side.
Good trouble shooting info here:

15/16" bore ....what size are u using/
What diameter bore mc? I had to go larger than 15/16” to get good peddle with front disc conversion.
62' Plymouth Valiant modified
replaced the front drum brakes with a disc kit (The Ram man)
long story short I have now (after many attempts at bleeding )
isolated the front brake reservoir directly to a tee and the front brake lines only
still no pressure and no leaks (this leads me to a faulty master cylinder this will be the 3r)
i can pump the pedal about ten times to get some feel but when i release it and re-try the pedal goes all the way to the floor
any thoughts / input appreciated
