Rich are you sure about the flex plate needing balanced,,,,,,,,for some
reason I was thinking that the convertor was balanced, and not the flex
plate,,,,,,,

The
new lifters I got did work OK for me. However one of them is frozen up
and the plunger will not move. So Gary is sending me another to replace
it.
So
I think I'll go ahead and put the engine in the car. I get the poly on
the hoist and off the stand and go to mount the flex plate and discover (duh)
that the flex plate for my 9.5" torque converter doesn't work on my 11 stock
converter :-( So I can't install the engine until I remedy that issue.
I do have my original flex plate but it'll have to be balanced.
I
can't finish the carb yet either as the kit won't arrive until tomorrow and
then I hope it's the right one. I'm running out of time so things need
to get going here. Aug 17th is the parade and Aug 24-25 is the Geezer
drags. Now I will run LeRoar at the drags one time more to see how the stock
configuration runs compared with when I first bought the car. Except
it'll still have the 3:90 rear gears till I can get them changed
out.
Yeah
and to help things out my hip went out on me yesterday after a marathon yard
mowing. Dang it!
