Colin,

I saw your message on the 62-65 site. I have a 62 Phoenix so know the issues you are having. Anyway, about two months ago there was a guy advertising a heap of parts on Ebay, and most were brand new. He had a car which was at a Panel Beaters, but when he went back the Panel Beater after a couple of months to check on his car – the panel beater had moved on and left a lot of debt behind, i.e. left in a hurry. So the owners of the building crushed the cars that were there to recover some money. Apparently the guy who had the ’62 – told me his car was one to be crushed.

Anyway, I saved the listing .. and have tried to get hold of the guy a couple of times – but it might be worth your while. Listing is as follows:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/280883392981?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Let me know if you can open okay, as his mobile number is listed. Apart from that I know a few other guys who may be able to assist.

Hope that helps,

Tony

Hello,

I have recently purchased an Australian built 1962 Dodge Phoenix (i.e. Dodge Dart with 318 Poly Motor). I am wondering if anybody can point me towards suppliers of chromed castings such as headlight surrounds, grilles and gills etc. I know that I can have existing parts re-chromed, but previous experience with other cars says simply buying new pieces (possibly NOS if they exist) is easier and simpler.
