This describes how I did mine. Helpful hint, after marking the lines, I ran yellow (3/4") tape along the marks to make a nice straight line to cut. Plus it's alot easier to see when your throwing sparks with the cut off wheel. After you have fitted the new connectors weld to the frame first. When you're ready to weld the floor to the connector, I used a long board (2x4x24+) length doesn't matter, it just needs to be long enough to reach from the rear floor pan to the front one. I jacked up the wood along side the connector and leveled the floor out, tack welded in place. I repeated this process for both sides of connector on both sides of car. I can send pictures if needed.
